NEW YORK (AP) — A 45-year-old man was killed and six people were injured when a minivan overturned in Queens.
Police say the minivan was traveling westbound on 35 Avenue just before 5 p.m. Sunday when it struck a curb and a fire hydrant before coming to a rest on its side.
Police say the driver, Anthony Boyd of Queens, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Five passengers in the minivan were taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.
A pedestrian struck by debris was also hospitalized in stable condition.
Police did not say what caused the accident.
The investigation is continuing.
