BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Police in Buffalo say they've increased patrols in a section of the city where two women have been raped and a third assaulted since late last month.
Officials tell local media that the first attack occurred June 29, when a 33-year-old woman was raped and robbed on the city's west side. Three days later, a 21-year-old woman told police she was raped by a man who pushed her into a shed where she was storing her bicycle after returning home from work.
The most recent attack occurred late Sunday, when a woman says she was punched in a face by a man who smashed a beer bottle over her head.
Police officials say more patrols have been added to the neighborhoods where the attacks occurred.
