CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) — Potomac Edison says it has restored power to nearly all of the more than 2,500 customers in frigid Allegany County whose electricity went after a substation fire.
By 4 p.m. Tuesday, the number of outages was down to 129.
The county emergency services department says it's closing the warming stations it opened in Cumberland, LaVale and Mount Savage as electricity is restored.
The outages were linked to a fire at the utility's substation in Corriganville.
