FEDERALSBURG, Md. (AP) — Authorities say three children, two 12-year-olds and an 8-year-old, have drowned in a creek on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Caroline County officials say the bodies of the children were pulled from Marshyhope Creek in Federalsburg Sunday morning. They were last seen late Saturday afternoon playing in a church parking lot and were reported missing early Sunday. Parents searched for them throughout the night.

Authorities began a comprehensive search Sunday morning, and rescue dogs helped lead authorities to the bodies of the youths. The first was found at 10 a.m. in the water behind a cluster of homes, and the second was found nearby. Divers pulled the body of the third child from the water.

No foul play is suspected in the deaths. Maryland Natural Resources police are investigating.
