SOUTH OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Police are searching for three men accused of assaulting a pharmacist before making off with prescription pills and cash at a South Ogden pharmacy.
Police say one of the suspects acted as a lookout while the other two jumped the counter and assaulted the pharmacist at a Walgreens store on Wednesday night.
The Standard-Examiner of Ogden reports (http://bit.ly/1nawJO5 ) they then forced open a locked cabinet and took pills. The clerk was forced to open the cash register and money also was taken.
Police say the pharmacist was not badly injured and reacted appropriately to the situation by not resisting.
Investigators say the crimes were "carefully coordinated and pre-planned," leading them to believe the suspects have experience in robbing pharmacies.
