A deck at a private residence in Loudoun County partially collapsed Sunday, officials said.

The incident occurred about 4:40 p.m. at 14350 Loyalty Road in Lucketts. The far end of the deck failed but the rest of it stayed attached to the house, causing some people to slide off the deck, said Jose Salazar, deputy chief of Loudoun County Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management.

Officials received reports that about 20 people were on the deck. Salazar said three people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
