A string of bomb blasts rocked the Iraqi capital city Wednesday, leaving 35 people killed and wounding 75 others. A car bomb went off at a parking lot outside the Iraqi foreign ministry building in the city centre, adjacent to Green Zone that houses some government offices and the US embassy, Xinhua quoted an interior ministry source as saying. In a statement, the ministry said at least 11 employees and guards were killed and 10 wounded in the suicide attack. A third blast which took place near Baghdad mayor's in Sinak commercial district, killed five people and injured nine, the interior ministry source said.
