Puppet lovers should mark their calendars for Nov. 3, as puppeteers plan to rally in Washington on behalf of Big Bird

and a continuation of PBS funding. According to Reuters, the idea for the march can be credited to Michael Bellavia, of California, and Chris Mecham, of Idaho, who created a website and a Facebook page, respectively, for the Million Muppet March after the first presidential debate. (It's now being called the Million Puppet March, most likely to be more inclusive). The location for the march is still TBD, with organizers working to get proper permits.
