At some political events -- particularly of the Occupy or Ron Paul sort -- you can expect to find people wearing creative clothing to make a point. But I did a double-take this afternoon when I saw this gentleman at the Ron Paul Republican RNC Convention, which is going on right now at the University of South Florida. His cassock looked legit.

Father Joseph Coleman is a Greek Orthodox priest and a big Ron Paul fan. He hails originally from Beaumont, Tex., but currently lives in the island nation of Cyprus. He told me he had arranged his trip to the States so that he could attend the Ron Paul convention.

He first heard Paul speak in 2007. "It's fair to say Dr. Paul cured me of my apathy," he said. "I have always been of the notion that it's not the right and responsibility of the United States to police the world. When I heard Paul talk about non-interventionism, I figured he'd have other things to say as well."

Father Coleman was hooked -- soon sold on the gold standard and other tenets of Paul's movement as well. But he is worried about what will happen to Paul's movement now that the ten-term Texas Congressman is retiring. "I'm wondering who's going to step up who is as sound of character."
