Paul Ryan as the Wicked Witch of the West? That’s what actor Nathan Lane jokingly portrayed Mitt Romney’s running mate during a fundraiser with Vice President Joe Biden last night in the Hamptons.

Lane told several zany jokes at the fundraiser including one about Ryan’s plan for fixing Medicare.

“I think his precise words to Medicare were ‘I’ll fix you, my pretty’ as he rode off on his broom,” Lane said according to the pool report.

Lane also referred to actress Edie Falco, who was a co-host – but wasn’t in attendance since she was filming her show Nurse Jackie.

“I love Nurse Jackie,” Lane said. “She can’t get through the day without Vicodin, Adderall, Percocet, Xanax and Oxycodone, which oddly enough also happens to be the names of Mitt Romney’s five children.”

Lane attended the fundraiser with other notable guests including musician James Taylor, Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Frank Lautenberg and U.S. Representative Tim Bishop.

“Welcome to Joe Biden, unchained.” Lane joked as he introduced Biden.
