The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) this morning quickly released a video pushing back against the Supreme Court ruling on the controversial Arizona immigration law SB 1070.

ACLU’s Andre Segura explains in a video message to “undocumented” immigrants that the ruling did little to affect their rights.

“No matter what state you live in, though, it is important to know we all have fundamental rights, even if you don’t have papers, and the Supreme Court did nothing to change that,” Segura explains.

Segura lists a checklist of ways for illegals to avoid revealing their immigration status, even if they are stopped by the police.

“Remember You do not have to say anything about your immigration status, where you were born, or how you entered this country,” warning that that information could be used to deport them.
