During an interview with Piers Morgan last night, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad explained that Osama bin Laden deserved a fair trial, instead of being shot to death by Navy SEALS.

Morgan asked Ahmadinejad if he was “pleased” that Navy SEALS had killed Osama bin Laden.

“I would have been happier to see a transparent trial, a formal trial, and find out the root causes of all of the events of the last few years,” the Iranian president said via a translator.
