The trial for the head of the U.S. Air Force's sexual assault prevention office accused of groping a woman in Crystal City has been scheduled for July 18.

Lt. Col. Jeffrey Krusinski, 41, of Arlington, is charged with misdemeanor sexual battery. If convicted, he could face up to a year behinds bars and a $2,500 fine.

According to a police report: early Sunday morning, Krusinski approached a woman in a parking lot in the 500 block of S. 23rd Street and groped her. When Krusinski tried to touch the woman again, she fought him off and then contacted police. Krusinski appeared to be drunk at the time of the incident, according to the report.

Since his arrest, Krusinski has been reassigned within the headquarters of the Air Force's personnel division, according to an Air Force spokeswoman.
