An Alexandria woman driving down the wrong side of a Fairfax County road on Tuesday died after her car struck a tree, police said.

Dinh Quy, 62, was killed shortly after 7 p.m. Police said Quy pulled out of a shopping center near the intersection of Rolling Road and Old Kenne Mill Road and drove south in the northbound lanes or Rolling Road. She drove through the intersection before veering left and striking a tree, police said.

Fairfax County police were still investigating Wednesday.
