Coming from jobs on Capitol Hill and the Daily Caller, former Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., and former video reporter Michelle Fields have joined forces to produce an online talk show for kids on the right. "I was just approached about hosting a show that would be aimed at the younger generation," Fields told Yeas & Nays. "And then I finally heard that Allen was on board, which was amazing," she continued. "It's only amazing because she likes to poke fun at me," West interjected with a laugh.

The PJ Media project, dubbed "Next Generation," launches online Feb. 4. It's tailored for viewers 18 to 25, a demographic that West doesn't pretend that he's a part of. "Having two daughters, 19 and 16, I can think of nothing better than to make sure that I pass on a legacy of exceptionalism and greatness to them," he explained. The show will be streamed from Los Angeles, before later being moved to D.C. "This is a little different for me, being a Southern boy, being among all these Californians. But for the first two months we'll be working out of here while we are getting the D.C. studio set up," West explained.

Once it gets going, they hope to talk about big issues (the debt is a key one for both of them). "I would love to see just Allen get at it with a big liberal, that's what I want to see," Fields said, noting that their politics are slightly different too. "We both considers ourselves Republicans, yet we have ..." she began. "Conservatives," West interrupted. "OK, conservatives, but we have very different views on a lot of issues. I'm a little more libertarian. He's more conservative. So it's going to be a lot of debate and discussion," Fields concluded.
