Who better to tell us about the state of Amanda Bynes but Amanda Bynes herself?

The former actress chatted with People magazine over the phone and told the folks there that she's "doing amazing."

The 26-year-old, who has found herself in a whole lot of headlines for her erratic behavior, doesn't seem to be phased by the bad press.

"I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line," she said. (People notes that she was polite, respectful and upbeat on the phone). "I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive. It is all false."

Despite her cool demeanor, friends and family are still worried about the retiree.

Rumor has it Amanda's parents have relocated from Texas to Los Angeles to be near their daughter.

"People around Amanda are really concerned about her," a source who has spent time with Amanda in recent months tells the magazine. "She tells people she doesn't party or drink. She doesn't realize she has a problem."

Felicitaciones

Shakira has been quiet about the pregnancy rumors surrounding her the last few months. But now, the Colombian singer has confirmed that she and her boyfriend, soccer star Gerard Pique, are expecting.

Shakira took to her website to share the news. "As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!"

She later apologized to her fans for having to cancel her appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas this weekend.

"At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days."
