BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Baton Rouge-based Amedisys Inc. has lured former Chief Financial Officer Dale E. Redman out of retirement to serve as interim CFO.
Redman was the home health provider's CFO from February 2007 to December 2011 and retired as executive vice president in February 2012.
Interim Chief Executive Officer Ronald A. Laborde tells The Advocate (http://bit.ly/1dpWX8W ) Redman's five years as one of the company's top executives and nearly 40 years at senior-level finance positions made him the ideal candidate.
Laborde says Redman knows the company and the home health industry well, and has the respect of management, the board and Amedisys' financial partners.
Amedisys launched a national search for a permanent CEO after founder William Borne resigned in late February.
