A travel-dazed America Ferrara walked the red carpet at the Voto Latino Purple Carpet Bash Wednesday night. Ferrara snapped out of it, however, when asked which of the DNC speeches she had enjoyed the most so far.

"I just saw the nun!" Ferrara exclaimed. "She was amazing. I loved it."

Sister Simone Campbell, who has been something of a celebrity in Charlotte (fans have reportedly been stopped her for autographs), had earlier addressed the convention with a speech on health care and poverty. According to CNN, Democratic handlers revised a draft of her speech, but Sister Campbell rejected it for being too political and said she'd be happy to give up her speaking slot. They quickly yielded to her.

Ferrera said she was "so fired up listening to her."

"It was so exciting to hear someone bring it down to human issues, what we have in common," she said. Ferrera hopes to meet Sister Campbell before the convention is over, but, "I doubt she'd be coming to the Purple Carpet Bash."
