BALTIMORE (AP) — Amtrak is warning travelers to expect major delays between Baltimore and Philadelphia because of overhead power line problems.

Amtrak spokeswoman Vernae Graham says service was suspended between the two cities for more than two hours Tuesday morning because of a problem with power lines south of Wilmington, Del. She says repairs are underway and should be resolved Tuesday morning.

Until the problem is fixed, Graham says Amtrak is running diesel locomotives through the area, but travelers should expect major delays. The first train, a northeast regional train, will be delayed by about three hours.

She says MARC commuter train service in Maryland is not affected.
