'Andy Griffith' and '2 Broke Girls' emerge real winners of the campaign season

Candidates are dropping zillions on those TV ads you tune out every evening, but they're not spending it willy nilly. An analysis by Yahoo News of FCC filings shows which shows generate the most political ads -- and which ones draw the most Republican or Democratic dollars.

According to the data for late-night programming, left-leaning groups favor advertising on David Letterman, whereas their right-leaning counterparts choose Jay Leno. (Neither side spent much for "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.")

As for ad dominance on a particular scripted program, the Republican groups went for the senior vote in its ad buys: reruns of "The Andy Griffith Show" aired the most right-leaning commercials. And the show with the highest percentage of Democratic ad buys? "2 Broke Girls."
