Annapolis woman dies in crash

An Annapolis woman driving a Lexus died after a two-vehicle crash in Anne Arundel County, police officials said. The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene.

A police investigation found that a 2001 Lexus 430 pulled out of a parking lot in the 1100 block of Annapolis Road in Odenton around 8:20 p.m Sunday and into the path of a2003 Chevrolet Silverado four-door truck, which was traveling west on Annapolis Road. After the two vehicles collided, the Chevrolet began to spin and struck a telephone pole.

The Lexus' driver, 27-year-oldTori Danielle Stitely, died at a hospital, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

The Chevrolet's driver ran away and did not help Stitely, police said. Witnesses described the Chevrolet's driver as a white female with brown hair who was wearing a pink tank top and jeans.

Police did not know Monday morning if speed, alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
