One person has been killed in a trailer fire in Anne Arundel County, officials said.

Firefighters received a call about the flames at about 8:25 a.m. Wednesday, and they arrived at the Parkway Village mobile home park in Maryland City to find a fire at a double-wide residential trailer. Firefighters also heard small explosions coming from inside the trailer, said Keith Swindle, division chief for the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

It took about 20 minutes for firefighters to bring the fire under control. There was one fatality, but the victim's gender and identity are unknown, Swindle said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
