CLARKSTON, Mich. (AP) — Aretha Franklin has rescheduled next month's planned Detroit-area performance to July 27.
DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston announced Thursday that refunds will be available if needed and June 22 tickets will be honored at the July show.
A spokesman for the Queen of Soul said this week she would take June off and resume her touring schedule in July. Franklin announced earlier this month that she was to undergo medical treatment. She didn't specify what type of treatment she was receiving.
Franklin appeared on the season finale of "American Idol" last week via satellite, singing a medley of her hits with the show's female finalists.
