An Arlington man was arrested for inappropriately touching at 16-year-old girl at the Yorktown High School track, officials said.

Anibal Guzman, 34, was arrested on charges of sexual assault and urinating in public, police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said.

About 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, the girl was inappropriately touched while she was running on the track. The victim, a student at Yorktown High School in Arlington, was at the track with her mother and was not there for a school activity.

The girl's mother told police that the attacker was someone who had been seen at the track on numerous occasions. An officer went back to the scene the next night and saw Guzman, who matched the description of the suspect, at the back of the track by a chain-link fence.

Guzman moved into the track area and then jumped over the fence and started urinating, Sternbeck said. The officer confronted Guzman and apprehended him. The victim's mother, who was also at the track Thursday, then identified Guzman at the scene as the man who touched his daughter.

Once at police headquarters, Guzman admitted to the sexual assault, as well as to blowing kisses at the girl and saying "hey baby" to her, Sternbeck said.
