Armed robber targets University of Maryland students

Prince George's County police are investigating two armed robberies and an attempted robbery of University of Maryland students in College Park on Wednesday.

In the first incident, around 8:30 p.m., the suspect used a gun to rob a male student near the 9100 block of Baltimore Avenue. The student suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital by a family member.

Minutes later, the suspect tried to rob a second male student in the 8200 block of Baltimore Avenue.

In the third incident, around 8:50 p.m., a female student was robbed at gunpoint, also in the 8200 block of Baltimore Avenue.

The suspect in all three incidents is described as a black male, wearing a black hoodie and armed with a handgun.
