A Greenbelt man has been arrested for the slaying of a North Carolina man whose body was found in Oxon Run Park, police said.
Brandon Anthony Battle, 26, is charged with first- and second-degree murder, Prince George's County police said. He was being held without bond Thursday afternoon.
On Monday morning, Maryland National-Capital Park Police found 20-year-old Salaam Adams, of Durham, N.C., suffering from a gunshot wound in the park. He was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
A police spokeswoman said that she did not know what the relationship was between Adams and Battle, if any, and she did not know what the motive was for the killing.
