A Northwest D.C. man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the murder of an H Street deli owner in June.

Steven Vondell Williams, 46, faces a charge of second-degree murder while armed, according to a D.C. police spokesman.

Employees at Grace Deli, located at 701 H Street NE, found 64-year-old Hae Soon Lim unconscious behind the counter in the deli when they arrived at work the morning of June 14, according to authorities.

Police declared her dead at the scene -- she had been shot once in the neck while opening the deli by herself, according to authorities. At the time, police said the incident appeared to occur during a robbery. - Ben Giles
