Arrest made in Seat Pleasant gas station shooting

Prince George's County police arrested an Upper Marlboro man in connection with a killing at a Seat Pleasant gas station.

Lawson Mahdi, 24, arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree murder and other related charges, authorities announced Wednesday.

Police are still investigating the incident.

Authorities identified the victim as 31-year-old Sharod Darnell James. Police found James, of the 2200 block of Savanah Terrace SE in the District, suffering from a gunshot wound at a gas station on the 5600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway shortly before midnight on Friday.
