Michael Savage, a conservative talk radio host, offered Newt Gingrich $1 million to get out of the presidential race, because Savage believes that Gingrich -- whom he dismisses as a "fat, old white man" -- has no chance of defeating President Obama.

"Newt Gingrich is unelectable," Savage posted on his website. "Therefore, I am offering Newt Gingrich one million dollars to drop out of the presidential race, for the sake of the nation."

In a starkly persnal criticism, Savage says that Gingrich may defeat Obama on substance during a debate, but he will nonetheless "come off badly compared to Obama and look like nothing more than what he is: a fat, old, white man."

The flamboyant radio host called for Gingrich to "set his ego aside" -- "take the money . . . and don't run," Savage concluded.
