Brit Hume: Gingrich lashes out when upstaged

"If Gingrich feels upstaged or threatened he reaches for whatever at hand and starts swinging." remarked Fox News Senior Political Analyst Brit Hume last night, "Just ask Paul Ryan."

Hume remarked that Gingrich's attack against Romney for essentially running a business was "deeply telling" and an attack straight from the playbook of the left.

Hume concluded that Gingrich should return to his positive persona, leaving behind the "slasher" character that "reacts sharply" to criticism.
