Recently, Marco Rubio’s campaign retweeted Rubio posing for a picture with a man who has Down Syndrome. While he has a disability, his mother says he makes up for it with his love for politics.
This was so awesome for our son, who loves politics! #Marcomentum #MarcoRubio #TexansforRubio pic.twitter.com/ZXYhL5a2BU

Drew, who was that eager fan of Rubio, had gone with his parents to a pre-debate rally in Houston. Like all the other excited supporters, he waited and hoped for a picture with his favorite candidate. While his mother, Andrea Oyler, doubted her son would be able to, and even wondered if Rubio would dismiss them, fortunately the experience turned out much different.
Writing for the Independent Journal Opinion, Oyler wrote of their experience.

In the throng of the crowd, Drew bravely called out to Rubio, “Marco, I need a picture!” What Oyler described happening next is truly touching:
Oyler closes by mentioning how personal #NeverTrump became for her that day, as he had previously mocked a disabled reporter:
How would Trump have reacted had he seen Drew? Would he have mocked him? Hopefully not. Would he have dismissed him, like Oyler feared at the Rubio event? It’s possible. Thankfully, this family were dealing with Rubio and not Trump and won’t have to know.
