A Prince George's County judge has ordered a Bowie State University student accused of fatally stabbing her roommate to be held without bond.

Court documents say Alexis Simpson, 19, of District Heights, fatally stabbed her roommate Dominique Frazier, 18, inside their dormitory apartment after the two women argued about music playing from an iPod.

Frazier was found in the hallway on the second floor of the McAuliffe building. She was bleeding from the upper torso and unconscious. She was taken to a hospital and died about 45 minutes later.

Simpson surrendered to police later that evening.

"I didn't mean to do it," Simpson said after the stabbing, according to charging documents.

A preliminary hearing was set for Oct. 14.
