Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., joined us on Thursday morning, March 29, for a wide-ranging interview. He discussed his goal of building a conservative Senate -- of getting conservatives elected who "don't need to be liked." He also discussed his feelings on Mitt Romney as the likely GOP nominee, the culture of earmarks, the transportation bill, monetary policy, the Obamacare case, his relationship with the Senate leadership and his colleagues, and a number of other topics.

We have broken out the entire interview in four parts, each with audio and a transcript:

Part One: DeMint on pork and corporate welfare

Part Two: DeMint on the upcoming Senate races

Part Three: DeMint on Obamacare and the election

Part Four: DeMint on budgetary and monetary policy
