As Mitt Romney addressed the American Society of News Editors today, he was cordially greeted by a smaller group of journalists who warmly received President Obama yesterday for a similar speaking slot.

The large crowd at the luncheon yesterday gave President Obama a standing ovation after he finished his sharply partisan campaign speech. After Romney finished his speech today, the crowd remained in their seats,

"Romney ends prepared remarks at AP lunch with standard campaign points. No standing ovation like Obama got," wrote the Wall Street Journal's Tim Hanrahan on Twitter, noting that the crowd was "about half the crowd Obama attracted," at the luncheon yesterday.
