First Lady Michelle Obama defended Ann Romney today, after Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen argued that Mrs. Romney has "never worked a day in her life."

"Every mother works hard, and every woman deserves to be respected. –mo" she tweeted from her campaign Twitter account. (Tweets signed "mo" come directly from the First Lady, not campaign staff.)

Mrs. Obama's tweet is just the latest in the Obama campaign's efforts to distance itself from Rosen's comments. Campaign manager Jim Messina and poitical consultant David Axelrod last night both took to Twitter yesterday evening to condemn what Rosen said.
