Biden is a problem

Fresh off creating confusion about President Obama's stance on gay marriage, Vice President Joe Biden made a stunning foreign policy statement today, claiming that prior to Obama taking office "We were the problem" when it came to diplomacy with Iran. Just in case you forgot, before Obama came into office, Iran was already pursuing nuclear weapons and denying the Holocaust. It was in 2005 that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vowed to "wipe Israel off the map." Iran was funding Hamas and Hezbollah and, as Stephen Hayes notes, "When Biden thinks "we were the problem," Iran was literally shipping tons of weapons to kill US soldiers in Iraq/Afghanistan."

As ridicuous as Biden's boast was, at least the administration might have some reason to be proud if it had actually prevented Iran from pursuing nuclear weapons. But the reality is quite the contrary.

For a special bonus, here's a 2007 video of an Iranian crowd shouting "Death to America" at an Ahmadinejad speech.
