CHART: Obama's fiscal restraint

On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, urged reporters, "do not buy into the BS that you hear about spending and fiscal constraint with regard to this administration. I think doing so is a sign of sloth and laziness."

So I decided to make the following chart documenting all the progress that's been made toward getting public debt under control during the Obama era of fiscal restraint, based on CBO historical data and the White House's own estimates of President Obama's budget through 2022.
