First Lady Michelle Obama found a smooth transition from one portion of her speech to the next today in some children in the audience who she suggested get some ice cream.

"I could go on and on and on [about President Obama]" Mrs. Obama said during a campaign speech at the Dale City, Va., VFW. "But we've got four little people who need to get outside and play I see right here. They need some ice cream or something."

The first lady, who has led the "Let's Move" initiative to fight child obesity, was speaking in her first solo appearance at a public campaign event.

She transitioned from talking about her husband's record to the second half of her speech, which emphasized grassroots organization. "You know those folks who aren't registered -- find them, shake them, get them ready," the first lady exhorted supporters. "He needs all of you to multiply yourselves. Multiply yourselves! He needs you to sign up even more super-star volunteers, more super-star organizers."
