Vice President Biden is hosting a reception for officials of the Motion Picture Association of America and Administration this evening at the Naval Observatory.

The MPAA is comprised of six major movie studios including Warner Brothers,  Disney, Paramount, and 20th Century Fox.

The agency is lead by former Democratic Senator Chris Dodd, who lobbied for legislation such as the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) which caused an uproar in the tech community earlier this year. Obama angered Hollywood studio chiefs after he signaled opposition to SOPA back in January.

Earlier this year, however, Biden negotiated a deal with China to open up their theaters to more IMAX 3D Hollywood films.
