A Silver Spring man was killed by a car while waiting at a bus stop in Montgomery County early this morning.

Rolando Grande Martinez, 59, of the 11900 block of Andrew Court in Silver Spring, was waiting for a bus near Veirs Mill Road and Centerhill Street when a 2009 Mercury Milan veered from the roadway and onto the sidewalk, hitting and killing Martinez.

The car kept going until it hit a Toyota Tacoma parked in a driveway at 11810 Huggins Drive.

The driver, Yared Tesfaye, 24, of the 12900 block of Margot Drive in Rockville, was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Martinez was declared dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating the accident.
