A former D.C. cop who acknowledged stealing $43,000 from an 85-year-old woman will spend 18 months in prison.

Aisha Hackley, 36, pleaded guilty in August to forging checks that the elderly woman had allegedly signed.  The two met while Hackley was investigating a separate incident in which the elderly woman was also a fraud victim.

Hackley paid restitution and resigned from the police department.
