A 25-year-old man was arrested after he pretended to shoot at people inside a movie theater, Anne Arundel County police said.

Kyle Nolan Tanner was charged with disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment and second-degree assault.

The Tuesday incident comes less than two weeks after a gunmen shot and killed 12 people and wounded 58 at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo.

According to police, Tanner walked into a showing of "Madagascar 3" at the Bow Tie Cinemas at Annapolis Harbour Center at 3:47 p.m. Tuesday. He sat down in the front row and began yelling expletives toward the screen and at patrons. He left the theater twice and returned a final time and began simulating shooting a gun while cursing at the people.

Many patrons fled. Tanner also ran but police quickly arrested him.
