After a profanity-laden rant onstage at the iHeartRadio music fest in Las Vegas over the weekend, Billie Joe Armstrong is heading to rehab.
The Green Day frontman, 40, who smashed his guitar after ranting about his band's time being cut short, will seek treatment for substance abuse.
In a statement to the Associated Press, Green Day apologized "to those they offended at the iHeartRadio Festival" and said the set was not cut short by Clear Channel, host of the two-day festival.
The band is also canceling promotional appearances for its new album "ÁUno!"
Billie Joe has a history of substance-abuse issues. He was arrested in 2003 for DUI and has acknowledged taking various drugs in the past.
The singer was hospitalized in Bologna, Italy, in early September for an undisclosed ailment.
Katie reconnects with old flame from the 'Creek'
Katie Holmes appears to be catching up with old friends now that she's a single lady again.
Katie reached out to her former "Dawson's Creek" co-star, Joshua Jackson, who played her love interest on screen and off.
Joshua told Canadian talk show host George Stroumboulopoulos that the pair talked on the phone and had a great catch-up.
The couple dated briefly in the '90s while filming, but both moved on after the show wrapped.
"It was something so incredible and indescribable that I will treasure it always," Katie told Rolling Stone of their romance at the time, noting that Joshua was kind of her "first love."
The news of a reunion got fans on Twitter all abuzz. But those hoping for a romantic reconnection are likely out of luck. Joshua is dating "Troy" star Diane Kruger.
And according to the New York Daily News, Katie is eager to reunite with two more stars from the "Creek," James Van Der Beek and Michelle Williams.
According to an Us Weekly source, producers have been begging Katie to do a "Dawson's" reunion movie. After her split with Tom Cruise, she's likely to be on board.
Amanda moving to NYC?
Right after Amanda Bynes' parents moved to L.A. from Texas to be near their troubled daughter, she bolted to New York.
According to TMZ, witnesses who spotted Amanda in NYC tell them the actress was aimlessly wandering around Midtown for hours this weekend.
Amanda is reportedly telling friends the reason she's in New York is because she's tired of being followed by paparazzi in L.A.
Amanda is reportedly mulling a move to the Big Apple. But with all her legal troubles in California, a move across country would be inadvisable -- especially considering she is no longer legally allowed to drive.
On a new episode of her talk show, Katie Couric admitted to being bulimic in the past.
"I wrestled with bulimia all through college and for two years after that," she told an eating disorders expert.
"I know this rigidity, this feeling that if you eat one thing that's wrong, you're full of self-loathing," she admitted in the surprisingly candid interview. "Whether it's one cookie or a stick of gum that isn't sugarless, that I would sometimes beat myself up for that."
