After airing the Obama campaign’s Big Bird ad, the team from Morning Joe reacted in disbelief.

The team assured their viewers that the ad was, in fact, from the Obama campaign and not Saturday Night Live.

“Now’s not the time to do that when you have your own base up in arms,” host Joe Scarborough asserted.

“Maybe a more serious commercial saying now’s not the time to be talking about Big Bird,” Mika Brzezinski suggested.

“I guess, Wow. Okay.” Scarborough added. “Because — whatever gets you through the night.”
