Another fondling reported in Springfield

A sixth fondling incident in the Springfield area has been reported, officials said.

The assault is believed to have taken place about 7:30 p.m. between Sept. 9 and 13. A 25-year-old woman told police she was walking on Cumberland Avenue near Dinwiddie Street by the Commerce Street bus stop when a man approached from behind, groped her and fled, Fairfax County police officials said.

The victim in this assault came forward while detectives were conducting a neighborhood canvas last week to inform people about the series of fondling incidents in the area.

In many of the assaults, the culprit was described as Hispanic, and in three of the attacks, the man was described as wearing a plain red baseball cap.

Boy found after bizarre P.G. abduction

The 4-year-old Prince George's County boy who was allegedly abducted by his father shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday was later found at his school, according to authorities.

Prince George's County police would not release the name of the school and as of Wednesday afternoon were still searching for the father, who jumped in a vehicle at a Landover gas station and drove off with the boy still inside as the mother was attempting to fuel the vehicle.
