Prince George's County firefighters battled three separate blazes Sunday morning across the county.

Emergency workers first fought a fire in the basement of a two-story, single family home on the 5200 block of Palco Place in College Park around 1 a.m. The fire quickly spread through the next two floors and eventually burned the roof, Prince George's County fire department spokesman Mark Brady said in a statement. Brady said there were no injuries, and investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and estimating the damage.

The second fire brought firefighters to another two-story, single family home in the 12800 block of Peachleaf Court in Upper Marlboro. Firefighters extinguished the fire that started in the basement around 3 a.m. While searching the house, they found an unconscious woman, whom they carried out of the house to paramedics. The woman is now in a local hospital, where she is listed in critical condition, Brady said. Investigators are still seeking the cause of the fire and estimating damages.

The morning's third fire came around 8:30 a.m. on the 3500 block of Windom Road in Hyattsville. Firefighters found a three-story, garden style apartment building ablaze, with flames reaching the second and third floors. Crews extinguished the fire within 15 minutes, and are still investigating the cause and assessing the damage, Brady said.
