The name comes from the 1995 Million Man March held to promote civil rights.

The architect of 9/11, being tried on charges stemming from the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, wanted to wear a camouflage vest in court because that's what he wore in the 1980s while fighting in Afghanistan with U.S.-supported forces against the Soviet Union. Prosecutors called the military attire inappropriate, but a military judge decided Tuesday to allow the vest.
