On the Kelly and Michael morning show today, First Lady Michelle Obama explained that it was difficult to sit silently during a presidential debate.
“I compared it to the Olympic parents watching their kids on that balance beam,” she said. “Lots of clenching.”
The First Lady said that she was really “moving around” in her seat during the second debate.
“They really caution you to be be quiet and I try to follow the rules, so I don’t get in trouble,” she said.
The First Lady was captured on camera during the second debate applauding with others in the crowd after the president responded to Mitt Romney regarding the attacks in Libya.
