Mitt Romney, during the foreign policy presidential debate in Florida, said that he would indict Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadenijad for inciting genocide against the Israeli people.

“I’d make sure that Ahmadinejad is indicted under the genocide convention,” Romney said. “His words amount to genocide incitation. I would indict him for it.”

In 1948, the same year that the State of Israel was created after World War II, the United Nations adopted a resolution on genocide condemning a variety of related acts, including the “Direct and public incitement to commit genocide.”

In August, Ahmadenijad said that “Anyone who loves freedom and justice must strive for the annihilation of the Zionist regime in order to pave the way for world justice and freedom.”
