President Obama got it right last week when he predicted that the Democrats would retain control of the Senate and Republicans the House. Kyle Kondik and Larry Sabato of the University of Virginia's Center for Politics sees the status quo remaining on Capitol Hill.

On the House side, they see a Democratic gain of five seats, 20 short of what's needed to take back control of the chamber.

In the Senate, the duo expect the Democrats to keep control, with the Republicans holding some 49 seats, a hair short of the majority.

On the Tom Joyner show last week, Obama said, "The Democrats have a very good chance of retaining control of the Senate." He then added, "The House of Representatives is going to be tougher, but so much of this is going to depend on people voting."
